A 12-year-old boy, a teenager and a 69-year-old man have been arrested after a man was assaulted in Camber on Friday night (August 14).

The 12-year-old was arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent after the attack near Dunes bar and restaurant on Old Lydd Road at around 11.40pm.

The 17-year-old boy was arrested for grievous bodily harm with intent, possessing an offensive weapon and assault, and the 69-year-old was arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent.

The victim, from Surrey, suffered multiple injuries to his arms and torso but they are not thought to be life-threatening.

He was taken to Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton.

The 12-year-old and the 69-year-old are both from Surrey and were both released on bail until October 10 and November 15 respectively.

The 17-year-old is from Kent and was remanded in custody to appear before Brighton and Hove magistrates today (Monday, August 17).

But he has since been remanded on bail to appear before Eastbourne magistrates tomorrow (Tuesday, August 18).
