Daylight robbery Guestling pub

A YOUNG woman was left badly shaken after a robber stole £8,000 from the White Hart pub at Guestling.

The audacious raid took place at 9.15am on Monday morning when a man entered the office at the Winchelsea Road Beefeater pub on the A259.

He threatened the 25-year old woman working there and took what is believed to be about £8,000 cash.

The woman was not attacked and no weapon was seen. Police say that at present there is no report of the robber getting into a vehicle.

The man is described as being white, in his mid to late twenties, 5’6” tall, and with a pale complexion. He was wearing a charcoal coloured flat cap, a black zip-up jacket, and black trousers.

Detective Constable Robin Mitchell-Davis said; “The woman was badly shaken by her experience.
