Laura Brown and Jemma Harrison will be walking the 31 mile 1066 route from Battle Abbey to the Windmill in Rye on May 9 and 10 to raise funds for needy dogs.
They will be raising funds for Give a Dog a Home UK and Medical Detection dogs.
Give a Dog a Home UK finds homes for dogs who have been saved from life in shelters and on the streets of Greece, Cyprus and Romania.
Medical Detection Dogs are dogs who are trained to assist individuals who manage complex medical conditions.
The dogs can identify the odour changes associated with life threatening medical events such as diabetic episodes and cancer.
Laura and Jemma will be accompanied by friends and family throughout the walk and will also be taking their faithful four-legged friends, aka “The Paws”.
You can find them on Facebook at the following link which will updated throughout the walk. There is also a donation link on the page and all money raised will be split between the two great causes mentioned above https://www.facebook.com/pawsalongthe1066.
