Two teenagers from East Sussex were arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving after a serious car crash in Kent yesterday (Wednesday, February 22).

An 18-year-old man is in police custody and a boy, 17, was bailed after two Landrover Defenders crashed on the A26 near Hadlow at around 7.55pm.

It is believed both cars were travelling towards Tonbridge when one hit a tree.

A different 17-year-old boy was taken to a London hospital with life-threatening injuries while another 17-year-old boy suffered serious injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police.

In particular, officers would like to speak to the occupants of a car reported to be travelling along the A26 towards Maidstone and who may have seen the two Defenders immediately before the crash.
