BATTLE Soapbox Race will return to the town this summer - and entries are already flooding in.
Since the event opened to entries on Friday (January 4), 10 teams from Battle and beyond have registered for this summer’s race.
The Battle Soapbox Race was launched by friends Dale, George and Ant in 2013.
A number of people entered the event last year, but several dropped out before the day of the race because the teams had not left enough time to finish their racers.
To avoid this situation happening again, this year entrance fees must be paid ahead of the event.
The Battle Soapbox Race track runs the length of the High Street, starting at the fire station and finishing by the Abbey Gatehouse.
Teams will be asked to raise sponsorship and money raised on the day will go towards local good causes.
A date for the event has yet to be confirmed, but it is expected to take place in June.
To enter the race, or for further information, please contact Dale Cromwell on 07834 049794 or visit the Battle Soapbox Race Facebook page.
