PHOTO DISPLAY: During the Fete and the Flower and Dog Show I put on a display of a large quantity of old photos, postcards and memorabilia from the area '“ in the Church Chancel. I have left the display in place for a short period so if you did not get a chance for a proper look on Saturday the Church is normally open daily from 11am to 4pm. For security reasons the Church was not left open during the Music Festival, so I will be leaving the display in place until the end of July, unless I am notified of a special Church service.

LOCAL POLICING: You will probably be aware that Sussex Police are in the process of introducing their new Local Policing Model, and that the role of PCSO’s has changed, villages will no longer have a named PCSO for their village. Some residents have expressed concerns regarding Police cover for their village and the ease of contacting the Police. Inspector Daniel Russell will be attending the July Parish Council meeting next Thursday (July 21) to explain the future Policing in the area and will be happy to answer any questions residents have, everyone is welcome to attend the meeting. The meeting will start earlier than usual at 7pm to enable Inspector Russell to explain all the Policing matters, the Parish Council meeting will then start as near as possible to the normal time of 7.30pm.

BONFIRE NIGHT 2016: A date for your diary ! With the kind permission of Mr Tim Crane, Etchingham Improvements Committee are pleased to announce that the Etchingham Bonfire Night will be held on November 12. Further details will follow nearer the date with timings and location.
