The St Michael’s Hospice Riding Club held its fourth annual Horse and Dog Show in aid of St Michael’s Hospice.

The St Michael’s Hospice Riding Club held its fourth annual Horse and Dog Show in aid of St Michael’s Hospice.

The event, which took place at Horns Corner in Catsfield on Sunday, was extremely well attended with more than 183 entries for the horse events and about 100 entries for the dog show.

The main sponsors of the event were Littlewoods Fencing, Booker and Best, Barretts Landrover, Wilmoths, Crown Roofing, Rother Valley Riding Club, Campbells Estate Agents and 5dollar.

The event was planned by a dedicated group of volunteers and manned by many extra volunteers who gave the entire day to making the show a success.

Barbara Eason of the St Michael’s Hospice Riding Club said: “The Riding Club would like to thank all the volunteers and entrants for their patience on the day and for supporting the club in their quest to raise as much money for the hospice as possible.

“Donations are still being received but we look forward to announcing the total amount raised shortly.”

Hospice fundraiser, Amanda Hildreth, said: “The Annual Horse and Dog Show is a huge event on the hospice calendar and always proves popular with local animal lovers.

“The members of St Michael’s Hospice Riding Club generously give their time to organise this event and I’d like to thank them and all of the other volunteers for their continued hard work and dedication.

“They host a number of events throughout the year and for that we are immensely grateful.”
