Last Saturday’s Church Market was another success with nearly 70 guests having refreshments and raising over £400 to the repayment of the loan which enabled the heating to be repaired. The next Church Market will be on Saturday 19 May.

At the Annual Parochial Meeting the membership of the Parochial Church Council was unchanged and the Churchwardens remain Mrs Janet Pegg and Mrs Christine Wheeler.

The meeting decided that using contractors to look after the churchyard was now too costly.A working party will look into the possibilities so there may soon be a possibility of helping maintain this beautiful and meaningful part of Icklesham.

Last Saturday the Robin Hood Bonfire Society hosted its Annual Over 60s Party in the Memorial Hall. As usual it was a great success. The clod meat salad followed by a delicious dessert was washed down with fine wine. Entertainment was provided by a pianist/singer and everybody enjoyed the sing song. All the guests and members of the Society had a great time. Kim Holland gives lots of thanks to all those who helped.
