Iden

SO MUCH MORE THAN A VILLAGE: Last week I had a new hip, and I have been humbled by so much kindness. I have had cards and flowers and gifts, and I do thank everyone, because for everyone, a new hip takes a bit of getting used to. I am only one of many in the vicinity, who has recently had to befriend a bit of silicone/titanium we didn't know before, and I do wish everyone well. Such kindness has made me think even more than usual, that if the whole world was to pick a side like a game of netball, the good side, as opposed to the bad side would win hands down, because people in general are kindness itself. Iden is bursting at the seams with compassion. We are less of a village, and more like a family, and that is what helps us get through our ups and downs. Thank you everyone.

MUST BE GETTING BETTER!: This morning I removed my hospital wristband, and cleaned the bathroom floor with a flannel on the end of a walking stick. I watched the cat washing herself with such care and attention that I can only assume she has a date. Have a lovely week one and all!
