Iden village voice

Very many grateful thanks are due to Mrs. Pam Howell and her team who organised the Children’s Society Coffee Morning. A wonderful sum of £400 was raised. Pam is reluctantly giving up the organisation of this annual event and is looking for kind supporters who would be willing to have a collecting box for their “Shrapnel”.

The Iden Footpath Team has kindly donated two benches in support of the Diamond Jubilee. They are placed in the Park and have been made from “found” telegraph poles, which have been used for good effect.

There has been another theft of oil in the village. Please report any suspicious people about. Just ring 101

Alternative dates are being discussed for the Bring and Share Lunch which had been planned for this Sunday. Too many people are away to make it viable.

The Mobile Library will be at the village hall on Monday from 12.05 to 12.45.

The mid-week services will be 9.30 am Morning Prayer and 3.30 pm for Evening Prayer on Wednesday.

The 9.30 am service for Whit Sunday or Pentecost will be led by the vicar.
