FAMILY owned Peasmarsh supermarket Jempsons have made a £250 donation to this year’s Peasmarsh Chamber Music Festival.

The Festival, which runs from June 14 - 17, will be a weekend of exquisite chamber music featuring a host of acclaimed musicians including Grammy Award winning Steven Mackey, cellist Richard Lester as well as renowned violinist Anthony Marwood, co-director of the festival and a Peasmarsh resident.

Performances will take place at the village church of St Peter and St Paul as well as St Mary’s church in Rye.

Anthony Marwood said: “On behalf of the Peasmarsh Chamber Music Festival Trust, I would like to thank The Jempson Foundation for its support.”

“We are delighted that Jempson’s share our commitment to bringing musicians of international stature to Peasmarsh and Rye in order for people locally to enjoy world-class concerts on their doorstep”

Stephen Jempson said: “Artists and ensembles of international standing will perform right here in Peasmarsh, it is with absolute pleasure that we offer our support to this event.”.
