THE jury has retired to consider its verdict in the Julian Gardner manslaughter trial.

The 12 members of the jury retired at midday yesterday (Monday).

Julian Gardner, 52, was killed on October 11 2010 when he tried to tackle burglars at his farm in Robertsbridge.

Seven men have been standing trial at Lewes Crown Court over the businessman’s death.

Paul Dunn’s father Terrence Dunn, 57, of Sandhurst, is charged with conspiracy to pervert the course of justice.

The trial has lasted for several weeks and a verdict is expected soon.
