Do not give up our sovereignty

Mr. Hardy (My Eurovision lasts all year) wants the nations of Europe to work together to achieve peace and harmony.

An admirable aim but he fails to explain why that cannot be achieved unless we are part of a failing, undemocratic EU ruled by unelected bureaucrats in Brussels.

It is undemocratic because the European Commissioners alone have the power to propose new laws.

They are not chosen by the people and cannot be removed by the people.

Abraham Lincoln had it spot on: “Government of the people, by the people, for the people.” Jean Monnet, founding father of the EU, said: “Europe’s nations should be guided towards the super state without their peoples’ understanding what is happening. This can be accomplished by successive steps, each disguised as having an economic purpose, but which will eventually and irreversibly lead to federation.”

The EU boss, Jean-Paul Juncker (a failed politician rejected by the electorate in his own country), said: “When things get serious, you have to lie.” If you wish to give up our sovereignty and democracy then vote Remain.

I, however, will not betray the sacrifice of our forefathers who fought and died in their thousands to protect that democracy and shall vote Leave.
