It is incapable of reforming

Remain campaigners claim they've won '˜the economic argument', yet their supporters '“ Cameron, CBI, IMF, OECD (the former Organisation for European Economic Cooperation, a subtle clue!) and Treasury have all clearly stated Britain's GDP and economy will grow, post-Brexit.

The economy will ‘yo-yo’, as it always has, whether In or Out!

George Osborne’s fantastic claim ‘£4,300 GDP Brexit cost per (2016) household in 2030’ is not a cash loss but a meaningless difference between upper and lower growth forecasts in 2030!

His gaff is understandable for economics is not a science, but a mishmash of polarised theories each with equally valid contra-theories as is demonstrated daily in Parliament, hence the respected truism: “Ask two economists the same question and you’ll get three different answers”.

There are no right or wrong answers in economics so forecasts (leaving the doomed ERM, Euro, bountiful Scottish oil revenues, GDP growth in 2030) are best left to Mystic Meg!

Meanwhile, pro-EU ‘big business’ seeks only minimum costs and maximum profits...to crush competition.

Ford insists we remain in the EU, yet transferred UK Transit production to low-cost, non-EU Turkey while Nissan (UK) is managed by pro-EU French Renault.

What about crediting the thousands of Commonwealth and Filipino staff?

Anyone can travel, study, live, work or retire anywhere in the free world with a valid visa and passport!

I was moved by Stephen Hardy’s ‘Eurovision’ (20/5/16)... unfortunately he perfectly described the unity, aims and achievements of the 47 nation Council of Europe (Britain is a founding member), not of the junior EU upstart which pinched the Council’s flag and anthem!

If inter-governmental conventions on environment, trade and peace can be achieved through the UN, Council of Europe and international organisations, why have a political EU?

Brexit is not a leap into the unknown.

Us wary old codgers over 60 (20 per cent of Britain’s population) experienced life pre-EEC/EU and are still awaiting Wilson’s promised ‘reforms’ from his 1975 referendum!

Unfortunately for Cameron’s “stay in a ‘reformed’ EU” plea, the EU project is demonstrably intolerant and incapable of reform!
