Alzheimer's fundraising walk

Several members of the Bexhill Private Client team at Gaby Hardwicke Solicitors recently raised over £500 following a sponsored walk in aid of the Alzheimer's Society.

The Team raised money both by advance sponsorship and donations on the day from members of the public who were encountered during the event.

The walk ended with lunch at the newly opened Sunrise Living Home in Eastbourne where walkers had the chance to speak to the residents, many of whom had shown support.

Christopher Bean, a Partner at Gaby Hardwicke and who took part in the walk with his colleagues and son Callum, said: "I know from personal experience the devastating impact dementia has on everyone it touches. That's why we are supporting the local branch of the Alzheimer's Society so that they can to help those people with dementia and those who care for them.

"We would like to thank our many friends, colleagues and clients who supported us in raising money for this worthwhile cause."

Gaby Hardwicke has a specialist team that deals with the care of clients who suffer from Alzheimer's and other similar conditions.

Carol McHale of the Alzheimer's Society adds "Walking is the leading fundraiser for people with dementia and their carers and I would like to thank Gaby Hardwicke and all that took part in the walk and those that supported it for their help".
