Battle firefighters called to van blaze

A VAN caught fire on the A2100 in Telham on Monday morning.

Firefighters from Battle were called to the scene just before 7.50am following reports of a blaze in the engine of the vehicle.

The driver managed to put the fire before the crew arrived - using snow.

The driver was not hurt in the incident.
