Battle area crime round-up
Here is this week's round-up of crime from the Battle area.
AUDACIOUS thieves have stolen a 23 foot caravan from a field in Battle.
The cream Tabbart Comesse was taken from Marley Lane between 9pm on Tuesday and 7am the next day.
VANDALS smashed a window of a property on the Bodiam Business Park overnight on Saturday.
A BLUE Vauxhall Zafira at Churchfields in Westfield had its bodywork scratched some time between 3.35-5pm on Monday.
POLICE are hunting vandals who sprayed graffiti over the walls of a youth club.
Random letters and words were written on the wall of Battle Youth Club, in London Road, in black and blue spray paint.
The vandalism took place some time between 9.30am on Wednesday June 25 and 7am the next day.
THIEVES stole an ornamental bird bath from a front garden in Brightling.
The theft was reported at 8.30pm on Sunday.
THREE wheels were stolen from an Ifor Williams horse trailer in Skinners Lane, Catsfield, overnight on Friday June 27 and Saturday 28.
A BOLT securing gates at vineyard in Wheel Lane, Westfield, were cut.
No access was gained to the site.
The incident was reported to police at 8.30pm on Saturday.
VANDALS tampered with ignition wires on a Ford Fiesta parked in Mount Street, Battle, some time between 5.30pm on Saturday and 1.50am the next day.
A BLUE Mitsubishi Shogun had its ignition tampered with whilst parked in Church Road, Mountfield.
The incident happened between 10pm on Friday June 27 and 9am the next day.
THIEVES stole number plates from a black Renault Clio which was parked in Church Lane, Ninfield.
The plates, registration number LX03 YYN, were taken between 7pm on Thursday June 26 and 7.30am the next day.
A RED Honda Concerto, parked in Blacklands in Sedlescombe, was found with a number of dents in the bodywork.
It's believe someone walked over the car overnight on Friday June 27.
POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a burglary in Battle.
A property on Battle Hill was broken into some time between Wednesday June 11 and Monday June 16.
