Bid to complete Rye’s Cycle Path

RYE Town Council is pushing to get the town’s unfinished cycle path completed.

The path is supposed to be part of the National Cycle Network established by Sustrans, but a route through or around the actual town was never agreed on or implemented.

The path connects with Rye from Camber to the east and then picks up again off Udimore Road heading toward Winchelsea.

East Sussex County Council has now put a Sustrans officer in connection with Rye Town Council and he has agreed to make a site visit to Rye to review the situation and see what can be done.
