Blob acclaim for The Guesthouse East

AN EASTBOURNE guest house has been named amongst Lastminute.com's top 10 travel blogs this week.

The four-star, silver rated guest accommodation The Guesthouse East has beaten off competition from travel bloggers across the globe to make the travel website's top 10.

Picked for its efforts to modernise Eastbourne, the light-hearted and informative blog has put Eastbourne amongst a definitive list of must-read travel blogs, alongside Mrs & Mrs Smith outlining stylish travel and the Twitchiker that lets his twitter followers decide his next destination.

Eastbourne Borough Council Cabinet Member for Tourism, Cllr Susan Morris said "It is fantastic news that Eastbourne has been given a mention in Lastminute.com's top travel blogs and brilliant that our hoteliers are so passionate about the resort.

"Guesthouse East's blog makes a good, honest read, giving online visitors a realistic and insightful view into the town.

"The Guesthouse East was taken over this year by new owners who have been committed to regularly updating their blog with tales about settling into life on the Sussex coast.
