Bright and beautiful blooms

CELEBRATE spring with a visit to Ninfield Horticultural Society’s show where blooms and blossom will be evidence that winter is finally over.

The event will take place at Ninfield Memorial Hall on Saturday March 23 and the organisers hope potential entrants will start to get ready for the flower, floral art, photography, handicraft and children’s classes.

Rose Franks, from the society, said: “The narcissi should be waking up soon to give us a colourful display. Personally I would like to see an increase in handicraft entries at this show. Last autumn’s art and craft show showed the range of talent in the village and I hope this will encourage entries of calligraphy, saltdough creations, collages, shopping bags and other craft exhibits. For all entry details, please pick up a schedule from Ninfield Post Office.

“And of course, join us from 2.30pm to view the exhibits and enjoy tea and homemade cake.”
