Buckswood defends its poor place in league

GUESTLING private school Buckswood has defended being ranked second from bottom in the GCSE league table for Sussex.

Buckswood saw just 34% of pupils gaining five or more A* - C grade GCSE’s , including maths and English. Lowest in Sussex was William Parker at Hastings with 33% and that has been labelled as a failing school by OFSTED.

A spokesperson for Buckswood said: “It is widely accepted that the current discredited league tables work against internationally minded Schools like Buckswood for a number of different reasons. That is why we direct the growing number of prospective parents to our impressive Ofsted reports.”
