Guestling Cannabis Plants

THESE are some of the cannabis plants siezed by police during a raid at a property in Guestling at the end of last month.

A further 1,413 grams of cannabis buds and several black bin liners of herbal cannabis were taken by officers.

Two local men, a 63 and 25-year-old, were arrested at the address after officers found the cannabis being cultivated in the grounds of the property. The pair are on police bail until 20 April whilst the investigation continues.

Sgt Warren Downs, of Rye Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “Drugs and drug related crimes can have a massive impact on communities. My team and I work hard to tackle this policing priority but it is only with the help of the local community that we can continue to tackle drug related crime. I would urge anyone with any information concerning people who are supplying or producing controlled drugs to contact their local officer on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
