The Band of the Coldstream Guards will be holding a music workshop, hosted by Buckswood School on Monday.

Lucy Tooke, from Buckswood, said: “We are inviting other local young musicians to join us for this once in a life time day to learn from and perform with the highly prestigious Coldstream Guards.

“The day will be split into section workshops for Wind, Brass and Percussion instrumentalists, coming together after lunch to perform with the Coldstream Guards in a concert at the end of the day.

“To qualify, each student must be at least 15 years old and be of grade 5 standard. Music will be provided before the day and of course, permission must be sought from their school.

“Invitations have been sent to all local schools and music teachers in the Rother area and we would like to hear from anyone else who might be interested in participating. Spaces are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis.”

To book your places, or for more information, call Lucy Tooke on 01424 813813 or email lucy@buckswood.co.uk.
