Charity tea break in Rye in aid of Epilepsy Action

Rye residents Dawn Penfold and Caroline Lane are organising a tea break at the town's George Hotel next Friday (October 17) to raise funds for Epilepsy Action.

The event starts at 10am and finishes at 1pm.

Dawn has suffered with epilepsy all her life and has been a member of Epilepsy Action for many years and not so long ago took part in the Beckley Fun Run to raise money for the charity.

Caroline's three-year-old twin son Connor was diagnosed with suffering from epileptic seizures a year ago.

The pair will be serving teas, coffees and squash in the ballroom at the George Hotel.

There will also be a cake sale, raffle, face painting and The Pampered Chef who will be donating 25 per cent of all sales on the day direct to Epilepsy Action.

If you would like to volunteer to help on the day, or you are able to donate a raffle prize or some cakes please contact Caroline on 01797 226227 or Dawn on 01797 225906. For more info check out www.pamperedchef.biz/carolinelane.
