China in their hands

CHILDREN at Guestling Bradshaw School have been finding lots of ways to celebrate Chinese New Year.

It included kite making, Chinese calligraphy and learning about the Terracotta Army.

Kate Tugwell, from the school, said: “Children wrote New Year wishes on lucky red card which were then attached to the school fence to allow the wishes to blow away on the breeze.

“The children and staff always enjoy these curriculum days as it gives the children opportunity to work with others and share their skills. The younger children enjoy getting to know different staff and the older children are able to help them with their learning.

“The work is currently on display in the school.”
