Disabled need to be considered

RYE Town Council’s planning committee chairman says it is ‘shameful’ more consideration was not given to disabled access when the council supported plans for a new cinema.

Cllr Adam Smith said: “I would like to state how saddened I was by the lack of consideration given to facilitating access to the site for those less able. It would be difficult to find a more discriminatory location for a cinema in Rye and I consider the apparent lack of concern from the developers with regard to “access for all”, deeply disturbing and frankly, shameful.”
