Dog is shot after sheep savaged

A ROTTWEILER was shot dead after it was caught attacking sheep in a field in Battle.

One ewe was killed and several others injured after two dogs went on the rampage in the field in Hastings Road on October 3.

The first dog was shot by the landowner and the second, a mongrel, was seized by police.

Police are investigating.
