Fairlight feels festival spirit

Fair fest 3

Fair fest 3

SUNDAY saw Fairlight holding its second Music and Arts Festival on their Recreation Ground.

The big bi-annual event was opened in style by the newly crowned King and Queen of Fairfest 2012.

Festival goers poured into the grounds enjoying the many attractions including craft stalls, a dog show, organised by the RSPCA, magicians, classic cars, archery and a mini Olympics.

There was live music with local bands including the talented Dorey the Wise.

The real enthusiasts danced on to the bitter end to the ever popular group ‘The Kytes’.

“We knew the first Festival was going to be a hard act to follow”, said a Committee spokesperson, “but we think we have achieved it”.

They certainly did and the sunny weather helped to make it a day to remember.
