Fire crews called to Robertsbridge

A CREW from Battle Fire Station were called to tackle a blaze in Robertsbridge on Saturday night (February 9).

A washing machine caught alight at a property in Mill Rise just after 7.45pm.

The occupants fled the house and firefighters were quickly on the scene.

The crew left an hour-and-a-half later.
