Firefighters had to rescue a man from a garden centre roof this week.

Crews from Hastings were called to Blackbrook Garden Centre in New Road, Sedlescombe on Monday at 2.25pm.

It turned out a contractor involved in refurbishing the roof suffered some kind of fit and was unconscious.

An aerial ladder platform was used to get the man down and he was taken to the Conquest Hospital by ambulance.
