House that comes with a free DB9

AN EASTBOURNE developer is hoping to beat the property slump and plans to give away a luxury car to the first person who buys one of his million pound homes.

Andrew Mackelden, managing director of Fivewalk Homes, has pledged to supply a brand new Aston Martin DB9, which has a price tag of more than 110,000, to the first purchaser that completes on any one of the four properties at his latest development, Daydawn in Upper Carlisle Road.

The four luxury homes have price tags ranging from 1.25 million to 1.6 million and are due to be completed by Christmas.

Each property has at least six bedrooms and five bathrooms, conservatory and two have their own swimming pools. All are fitted with the latest technology and luxury designs.

Mr Mackelden, whose development company is behind Granville Crest in St John's Road, Sunnymede in Gaudwick Road, Bishop Carey and Lismore Court in the town centre, said he hoped his unusual giveaway would help boost interest in the properties in what were difficult times for the property market.

"In the current market property isn't moving as well as it could be and that is why we have come up with the incentive," said Mr Mackelden.

"We are coming on to the market with the finished product and they really are superb properties. We thought, 'Have a nice house, have a nice car!'. There are a lot of houses out there at the moment for the same price and we want to do all we can to make ours stand out."

The vehicle on offer is a new Aston Martin DB9 V12 Coupe two door touchtronic auto and the giveaway is running until January 19.
