Hunt for missing St Leonards man moves to Rock-a-Nore

Police looking for missing man Piers Hopson are shifting their focus to Hastings Old Town.

The 35-year-old, who suffers from autism, has been missing more nearly a month.

His family have appealed to the public for help in tracing their son and believe he may be being looked after.

And, as of today, the police are focusing on the area around Rock-a-Nore.

DI Rob Morland, of Hastings CID, said: "We have confirmed that Piers was in the Rock-a-Nore area shortly after 4pm on Monday 25 January - the day he went missing - and urge any local residents who may have seen him in the area that day, or since then, to contact us immediately.

"If you find Piers and he is unwell, please call 999 immediately to request police and ambulance attendance.

"If he is safe and well, please contact Sussex Police on 0845 60 70 999, quoting serial 1721 January 25, or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111."
