POPULAR local landlord Ian Mitchell is putting his running shoes back on to take part in the Hastings Half Marathon and raise money for good causes.

Ian. who runs the Queens Head at Icklesham and the Royal Oak at Pett, said: “The lycra and shoes have been dusted off for another 13 or so mile saunter round the town on March 24. One can only hope for conditions as good as last year so not putting me off jogging for life as I fully expected.

“I want to raise at least £1,000 for the Royal British Legion, to match last year, my chosen charity which does so much to help servicemen and women from battles and wars past and present.

“You can support me by going on line to http://www.virginmoneygiving.com/ian-mitchell , or, to make it easier, putting any loose change from your pockets or purses into collection bottles and boxes on the bar at either The Queens Head Icklesham or The Royal Oak Pett.”
