PEASMARSH Superstore Jempsons raised more than £1,000 for local good causes by holding bank holiday boot sales.

This year’s sales attracted hundreds of sellers and bargain hunters, with an impressive total of £1,135 being raised.

All the money from the sales of pitches and collections on the day were donated to Rye’s Bonfire Society, Rye District Community Transport, Rye Day Centre and ARRCC.

Stephen Jempson said: “Despite what seemed to be continual rain, our annual Boot Fairs are now a well established event in the Jempson’s calendar.

“We look forward to welcoming even more traders and bargain hunters to next year’s bank holiday events’.

Andrew Jempson added, ‘We take great pleasure in offering our services for the benefit of local good causes and the community over-all.

“These events are well organised and we hope that they will be even bigger and better when they return.”
