Look who’s popped up in the River Brede at Rye

FIFTEEN year old Jay Beckett set out his credentials as an aspiring photographer by snapping this visitor to the River Brede at Rye.

The grey seal appeared in the river last week.

Jay. Whose house backs onto the river, used a boat to track it for two days and capture a number of shots.

Dad Darren said: “Jay wants to be a photographer and this has given him a real boost.”

It is not uncommon for grey seals to enter the River Rother at Rye but more unusual for them to be sighted in the River Brede.
