FAMILIES can enjoy a treasure hunt around Rye this weekend seeking out special scallop shell boxes in shop windows.

The Rye Scallop Trail has been organised by Udimore based Festival Enthusiast Glenda Procter who said: “It has been an amazing take-up with more than 120 shops and businesses asking me to supply shell boxes so they can take part.

“It is great fun.”
