THE flagship fundraiser for Macmillan Cancer Support, The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning, returned for its 22nd year.

On Friday (September 28) people were encouraged to take time out whether a coffee morning at work, an afternoon tea party, or a bake off, to raise funds for the charity.

Across 1066 country, family, friends, and work colleagues got involved, put the kettle on and tucked into some tasty treats.

Last year the event raised a record-breaking £10 million, and it is hoped that this year’s total will exceed that raised in 2011.
