Pupils cultivating love for gardening

GREEN fingered Guestling Bradshaw pupils held a Plant Sale at the school recently to raise funds for their gradening club.

The Guestling Growers Club has proved to be a big success and has developed a garden at the school with the help of Helena Kicinski and Di Orr.

Kate Tugwell, from the school, said: “Many of the parents have become involved on a regular basis and Leigh Gill has also encouraged children who attend breakfast club to take charge of the daily watering.

“Planting and watching vegetables grow is always fascinating for young children and each week a different class has had the opportunity to learn about what plants need and how the soil helps them grow.”
