Rescue Boat presentation Feb 2013

ICKLESHAM Casuals Football Club have helped keep the Pett Level Rescue Boat afloat with a donation of £750.

Keith Swallow, from the Club, presented the cheque during a special ceremony at the boathouse on Sunday morning.

This was part of the money raised during the club’s 75th anniversary in 2012 which will be divided between a number of different charities. The funds donated will be used to provide radio controlled helmets for the boat crew. Icklesham Casuals has already presented similar amounts to both St. Michael’s Hospice and the Children with Tumours Charity with further donations to be made to other good causes in the near future. Pett Level Rescue Boat is an independent inshore rescue facility run entirely by volunteers and depends solely on fundraising, donations and sponsorship.
