Rotary Club stages fun Spanish night

RYE and Winchelsea Rotary Club helped beat the winter blues when they staged a recent Spanish Evening at Playden W.I. Hall.

Taking part were 40 members and their partners.

Derick Holman, of Rye Rotary, said: “The idea was to get together to raise club funds and generally forget the cold weather.

“The standard of costume was impressive with everybody making an effort to look Southern European and celebrate Spanish culture.”

Chris Fairman President of the club added: “It was another good social turnout from our members, they certainly know how to unwind and enjoy themselves. I was also pleased to see prospective members taking an interest in the proceedings as well.”
