Rye pupils aiming for the stars

Rye Primary Astronaut

Rye Primary Astronaut

YEAR 3 and 4 children at Rye Primary School were amazed to get a surprise visit from an astronaut recently.

He was found roaming around the playground after his space shuttle crashed on the other side of Rye.

He came to answer questions from the children and gave them a mission to find out as much information as they could about the moon.

The children have been taking part in role play activities, launching a space shuttle to the moon and recording their journey in diary entries.

Year 3 teacher Miss Baker said: “It has been a fantastic experience for the children, and

has enthused their learning to infinity and beyond!”.
