Two friends assaulted on night out
A 25-year-old man has been arrested after a Battle man and his friend were assaulted during a night out in Eastbourne.
The man is alleged to have punched a 22-year-old Bexhill man in the face before headbutting the 22-year-old from Battle.
Both victims were treated at Eastbourne District General Hospital for their injuries and later released.
The 25-year-old man, from Hailsham, was arrested on suspicion of actual bodily harm in Elms Avenue, on Sunday at around 2.50am.
The victims were part of a small group walking along Elms Avenue towards Cavendish Place after leaving the Atlantis bar.
The suspect has been bailed until Monday October 25, pending further enquiries.
