Walk will remember Joan

SEVEN year old Matthew Brand, from Icklesham has organised a sponsored walk to remember the woman who inspired him.

Matthew, a young member of Icklesham Players, was upset when Joan Baker, the driving force of the theatre group, passed away earlier this year.

He had the idea of organising the walk, which takes place at Icklesham Recreation Ground on Saturday, from 10am.

He was supported by Joan’s family and Joan’s grandaughters Connie and Ellie will be taking part.

Local peole are welcome to come along and support on the day or, if they would like to contribute, can email sharon.casse@btinternet.com.
