THERE was plenty of entertainment for all the family to enjoy as Sedlescombe Primary School held its annual Strawberry Fayre recently.

Sedlescombe is lucky enough to have an outdoor swimming pool, so the company Water Walkers brought some giant zorbing balls to the event, much to the delight of the children.

The inflatable course was new to the event this year and proved to be very popular, along with face painting, with both children and adults alike sporting various fantastic designs.

Once again the kitchen team provided an array of delicious refreshments, while the barbecue proved very busy.

A spokesperson for the school said: “Sedlescombe School are lucky to have an excellent PTA team who together with everyone’s individual talents came together to make the fayre a total success and enjoyable family day.

“However, we would not be able to hold such an event without the volunteering help from family, friends, governors and members of staff who also work very hard to help during the event.”

The fayre raised £2,287 which will be further boosted by Barclays Bank matched funding. Present at the event were branch manager Daniel Barnes with Susanne Ackerman, who volunteered and assisted on the Pimms Tent majority of the day.

The school thanked Barclays Bank for their support and everyone else who supported the event.
