THE Battle Museum of Local History is busy making preparations for the start of the 2014 season in April, including a special exhibition on World War One.
A spokesperson for the museum said: “We are looking for more volunteer custodians, so if you are seeking an interesting opportunity, why not join our team?
“Custodians welcome visitors to the museum, sell items from the small shop and also have an important role in providing the background to our exhibits, which cover 125 million years of local history.
“Ideal candidates will primarily have an interest in local history and dealing with people.
“Using a cash register is also part of the job.
“There could be other opportunities for those with suitable skills, eg event organisation.”
