Lancasters over Rye

Heads were tuned to the skies on Saturday when the last two air-worthy Lancaster bomber planes in existence flew over the Rye area, captured by Terry Blackman.

A Lancaster from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight was joined by a Canadian plane, named Vera. The aircraft is best known for ‘The Dam Busters’ raid.
