Busy day for Rye firefighters with Peasmarsh car fire

Firefighters from Rye were kept busy having to deal with some loose tiles and a car fire in Peasmarsh yesterday (Monday, June 7).

East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service crews from Rye were mobilised to High Street, Rye, due to a loose structure reported.

Crews removed the loose tiles.

Later crews were sent to Tan House Lane after reports of a car fire at around 7.55pm.

The fire was out on arrival but an inspection was carried out with no action required.
