Cookery class with Masterchef star John Torode in Peasmarsh

MasterChef co-host John Torode will be cooking up a storm at Jempson's in Peasmarsh later this year.

The hugely popular chef will be hosting two Meet the Expert cookery demonstration events at the family owned independent supermarket during the evening at 6pm and 8pm on Friday, December 16.

John is best known as the straight-talking co-host and judge of BBC1’s MasterChef, Celebrity MasterChef and Junior MasterChef.

Australian by birth, John is credited as one of the main players in introducing Australasian food to the UK in the mid-1990s and his TV programmes regularly attract a huge audiences.

Stephen Jempson said ‘As part of last year’s 80th anniversary celebrations last year, local celebrity chef Rosemary Shrager hosted two cookery demonstrations at the Peasmarsh superstore.

“Following on from these successful events, we are absolutely delighted to be welcoming John Torode for a demonstration of his amazing culinary skills.”

He added: “We would like to express our thanks to the event sponsors Anakena – Wine of Chile and Coca-Cola Zero Sugar for their support.”

Places are limited and demand is expected to be high, tickets are £12.50 each and are available on their website jempsons.com or in any Jempson’s store.
