THE Battle Mediaeval Fayre once again proved a huge success over the Bank Holiday weekend.
Although slightly soggy at times, the fayre, which is now in its twenty-fourth year, kept visitors of all ages entertained with various Mediaeval-themed stalls and games, along with maypole dancing and a performance from Battle’s very own Fighting Knights.
Among the highlights of the weekend were a grand parade down the High Street and the crowning of the May Queen on the Abbey Green.
The event was organised once again by the Battle and District Chamber of Commerce.
