The Ball, which has a Great Gatsby/1920s dress code, is taking place at Bannatynes Hotel, Hastings on Saturday, November 12, 7pm-midnight.

Guests will be treated to a champagne reception, a two course dinner, entertainment from magician Michael Drinkwater, live music from Chris Anderson’s band ‘The Swing Thing’ and a disco. There will also be a raffle and silent auction with fantastic prizes, including a villa in Portugal for a week and dinner at the Salutation Boutique Hotel and Gardens in Sandwich, Kent. A professional photographer will also be at the event, to take photos of the guests as they arrive, in their Great Gatsby/20s costumes.

Jenny and Hannah, Great Gatsby Ball organisers, said they have previously organised similar events which raised thousands of pounds for charity, adding: “A few of our staff members, have had relatives who have been looked after by St Michael’s Hospice,” they said. “The care they received was wonderful, so it seemed like the perfect charity to support. Following their fire last year we were particularly keen to show our support and raise money towards the Phoenix Appeal. All money raised at the Ball will go directly towards the Hospice rebuild.”

Tickets £40 each and can be purchased at Intrim, by calling 077911 33935 or email [email protected]
